Blake Ferris is a 2024 C/1B, OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Davenport Central. He has a tall frame with a lean and athletic build and plenty of room to fill out. Primary catcher that starts in an even stance and showed athletic actions behind the plate. He stands on his throws and could shave some time off his 2.32 second pop time by working towards second base. He has a quick release and throws slightly uphill. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide stance that is even to the pitcher with a high hand set. He uses a small stride for timing and features a rotational swing. He could add power by utilizing his lower half more and working through the baseball. Excellent student.
