Robert Reed III is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Bay City, TX who attends Bay City High School. Primary left-handed pitcher. Ran a 7.79 second sixty. Works from the third base side of the rubber with a belt high leg lift and short takeaway out of the glove to a three-quarters arm slot. Does a nice job controlling the mechanics consistently and getting some natural cut on the fastball in the low 70's topping out at 75 mph. Mixed in a slurry breaking ball in the low 60's as his primary off speed showing room to continue to develop as the arm speed continues to mature. Showed a changeup as the third offering. Showed some carry to the throws in the outfield with good extension out front. Mechanics in the outfield will get smoother with more reps allowing him to carry more momentum into the throws. Showed feel for the actions at first base with an ability to make accurate throws with proper footwork on the double play feeds. left-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and high hand set. Strides into contact with some weight shift as he gets to contact. Has more power to tap into as the bat speed continues to improve with added strength to the lean build. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
