Alex Guzman is a 2028 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Sahuarita, AZ who attends Sahuarita. Smaller body. Primary middle infielder. Preps well with quickness to the first step. Tends to wait back a bit to the fielding point. Athletic movements laterally. Long arm action to three-quarters release, average strength to it. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide spread base and square stance. Initial move is long striding load that creates some change in the eye level. Drifts to contact but the hans work direct with some intent through the opposite field gap. Could benefit from added strength and explosiveness. On the mound, works out of traditional windup with kick that build tempo as he reaches the apex. Full arm stroke with release from a three-quarters slot. Filling up the zone, getting hitters to out by pitching to contact. Curveball is a big slow breaker with some depth. Decent actions down the hill, repeats well. 7.73 60-yard. Outstanding student.
