Preston Hamelynck is a 2028 SS/RHP/MIF with a 5-1 115 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends Osceola. A lean frame and a compact build. Projectable frame. Ran an 8.31 60-yard dash. Worked out as an infielder, fielding it up the middle with a glove that made the plays. Projectable actions, looking the part with soft hands, and athletic actions. Throws were accurate to the bases. A right-handed hitter with a wider base and high-set hands. Keeps the back elbow up and is direct to the ball. Was able to work to the middle of the field during his round of BP. Picked up a base hit in-game as well. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who worked from a high three-quarters arm slot. Showed some effort moving down the mound with the arm working through the arm stroke well. Also showed a solid curveball with a good shape to it. Smooth 10-pitch inning, getting things done, avoiding trouble. Great student.
