Sean Mellinger is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Gainesville, VA who attends Gainesville. Medium frame with a lean build. Ran an 8.22 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, slightly turned start, smooth transfers and gets out of crouch with solid footwork, longer to release while gaining ground, accurate to the bag, things to build on with more explosiveness. Also plays infield, moves well to either side, preset hands and funnels through waist, longer arm stroke to release. Right-handed hitter, lower hand start and open stance, stays inside the baseball and works the middle of the field, simple swing that'll project well with strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
