Andrew Guardado is a 2027 3B/RHP, 2B, SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Bell, CA who attends Warren. Features a medium-sized frame that has begun to fill out. Ran an 8.08 60-yd dash. In the INF, he had a solid defensive workout where he showed quality footwork that try to play in rhythm. Hands/glove work low and out front early with softness at reception. Developing feel to the backhand side. Arm action was longer out the glove with some easy strength and accuracy to release up to 75 mph. Solid 3B projection. At the plate, he sits in a wider base with some pre-engagement with his backside. Uses a simple forward move while his hands pop back. Swing path is more direct that can drag at times seen with some late jam shots. Majority of his best contact was to the middle of the field. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch and uses a mid chest knee tuck. Maintains a more vertical back leg as he gets down the mound. More east/west rotational delivery. Hand lead longer path out the glove that gets into some decent scap load and releases to a lower ¾ slot. Fastball was up to 77 flashing some natural ASR. Mixed in a low 60s slurvy breaking ball as well.
