Daniel Alaña is a 2027 C/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Maracaibo, ZU who attends . Medium build with a proportioned athletic frame and lots of projection. Ran a 7.82 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, quick feet and gains ground with good direction. Works through the release well and has some carry to the bag. Actions project well and there is good quickness that he repeats well. Really high ceiling. A right-handed hitter, uses a leg lift trigger while separating well and lots of bat speed and intent. Getting out front and lifting balls that have good carry. Excellent future power potential. Huge ceiling as he develops.
