Nickolas Melehes is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 6-0 154 lb. frame from Puslinch, ON who attends St. James High School. Features a lean, slender build with athleticism present. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Showcased a patient approach on ground balls. Athleticism helps move well laterally, displaying range in both directions. Confident hands work through hops well and catch the ball consistently. Threw 70 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance into a small leg kick timing mechanism. Swings on a direct path with some extension out front. Still learning how to create loft consistently. Body projects well for more power down the line. Right-handed pitcher. Gets into legs well using drop and drive mechanics. Shows good intent down the mound. Throws from a high 3/4 slot using a longer arm action. Fastball got up to 72 mph with slight armside run. More velocity will come. Paired it with a slider at 59-61 mph with short, tilting action. Has confidence in the offering and will throw it often Showed a fading changeup at 6-62 mph. Maintains arm speed well and gets hitters out front often.
