Sam Spencer is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from Toronto, ON. Features a long, lean build with plenty of room to add more. Primary right-handed hitter. Utilizes tall and fall mechanics down the mound. Shows a clean arm path into a 3/4 slot release. Hides it well throughout the arm stroke. Fastball sat 77-80 mph with some ride. Still developing consistent command. Paired it with a slider at 65-67 mph with short, tilting action. Lands it for strikes and creates a fair amount of bite. Projectable arm overall. Worked out in the outfield. Showcased a patient approach. Still developing ability to maintain momentum through the catchpoint. Can make the routine play. Threw 78 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a narrow base. Starts with a high hand setup and high back elbow. Swings on a lofted path with an approach geared toward the pullside. More power should come as strength and intent are added. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash.
