Tyler Black is a 2024 C with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Burlington, ON. Features a bigger build with some strength present. Ran an 8.56 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Uses a side saddle setup behind the plate. Shows the ability to gain ground well out of crouch. Still developing overall quickness to the transfer. Was accurate with most feeds. Recorded a 2.30 second pop time. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a narrow base and upright posture. Uses a big leg lift timing mechanism to shift weight. Swings on a linear path. Still developing consistent feel for the barrel. More power will come as the barrel accuracy and body controlled develop further.
