2023 13U/14U Summer Main Event Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Zachary Grayson is a 2027 C/RHP, MIF, OF, UT with a 5-8 120 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Johnson Ferry Christian Academy. Recorded a 8.03 60-yard dash. Younger look and lean build with lots of physical maturing left to do. Primary catcher. Right knee down stance and narrow base while working under the ball. Recorded best pop time of 2.25 sec and throws up to 62 mph. Also worked out in the infield. Made all the plays with two hands working out front. Developing arm strength with throws across up to 63 mph. Will continue to improve coordination and body control with time. Pitched as well. Uses a slower delivery and works from the windup. Looser arm and short takeaway. Worked the fastball up to 68 mph and attacked the glove side. Showed a curveball at 58 mph that is currently still developing. Right-handed hitter, starts from a narrow base with high hands. Hands drop into slot on time, but lack some fluidity. Struggles a bit to stay stacked which prevents him from getting on plane. Could improve with less movement and a more simplified operation. Found some success to the middle of the field.
