Benjamin Smith is a 2027 C/1B, 3B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Suisun City, CA who attends Angelo Rodriguez. Features a smaller/compact frame with some present strength. Ran a 7.90 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, he showed a compact exchange with avg. quickness in the lower half. Gains good ground towards 2B on throwdowns. Arm worked shorter in the back with avg. strength that had a unique hitch before release. Stoodout with his receiving ability where he kept a quiet body with a soft/fast glove. At the plate, he sits in a wider open stance. Has a smaller lower-half gather as his hands load a flatter barrel. Showed present strength to the hands that throw the barrel on a direct path with a level finish. Had a middle-opposite field approach throughout his round with his best contact being some CF line drives.
