Tommy Murphy is a 2025 3B/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Canton, MI who attends Canton. Compact build with some strength potential. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with an exaggerated high back elbow load, upper body rotational swing, longer path into the zone, line drive swing plane, contact to all fields. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, fields the ball cleanly out front, stays balanced well and makes accurate throws, can make the routine play. Took a turn on the mound, has simple turn and throw mechanics and good direction to the plate, compact high 3/4's arm action. Did a nice job of throwing strikes with a fastball that topped out at 81 mph, primary fastball pitcher who mixed in an occasional slider. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
