James O'Connor is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, SC who attends Oceanside Collegiate. Strong build with a durable frame and more time to add overall size and athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.71 seconds. Primary position OF, looking the part but sitting back a bit before getting into his angles. Deliberate transfer to deep arm path with good carry and clean rotation as it peaked at 79 mph back to the infield. Secondary RHP, with a methodical pace to his delivery and hesitation before transfer to balance. Ease to his operation, throwing a bunch of strikes and locating within the zone. FB up to 73 mph with consistent cutting action running hitters out of barrel. CB still in the development stages but showed some nice spin. RHH with a slightly open stance and turned in front shoulder. Rotational mechanics and gets stuck on the backside here and there. Will flash even more bat speed with a more direct path to impact. There is strength at contact and showed hardest contact with pitches in the bottom of the zone.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
