LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 Virginia Indoor Showcase (Feb. 26)
Liam Gibson is a 2027 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-7 123 lb. frame from Midlothian, VA who attends Midlothian. Good current frame to build on with lean musculature and a whole lot of time to add in the coming years. Primary position OF, working methodically to the ball and off to the side with his glove work. Deliberate transfer at the midline leading him to a full arm path and accurate throws to bags up to 68 mph on feeds. Mechanically sound, showing feel for the position and solid overall feel. RHH working with an upright stance and mostly inline. High back elbow with even handset using hanging leg lift to get loaded. Flat bat path to impact with a middle of the field approach. Feel for the barrel creating low line drives back up the middle. Components are there to show power as he gains overall body strength, just a young athlete right now. Definitely a prospect to follow.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
