Joseph Rosario is a 2028 C/RHP/IF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends Hayfield Secondary. Rosario worked from a variety of defensive spots over the course of his event, starting from behind the dish where he started from a slight side saddle set with intent to repeat the release with urgency and compactness. He has plenty of time to add arm strength with further room to gain ground in the footwork, currently posting a 2.30 pop time. From the IF, Rosario displayed sound glove work with intent to change slots on the run. Topped out at 69 mph across the diamond. On the mound, he showcased a belt high leg lift and 3/4 slot that saw velocity up to 71 mph. He effectively worked all four quadrants of the zone and exclusively used the heat to record outs. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow slightly open base with feel for the barrel to create contact to all parts of the field. He flashed young bat speed through the zone, posting an exit velo of 71 mph. Ran a 8.74 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
