Matthew Garcia is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Cortlandt Manor, NY who attends Walter Panas. Garcia has evident strength in the frame as a '26 prospect and looks the part of a primary RHP. He worked from the stretch flashing a simple/repeatable operation overall that was slightly closed off to start. Garcia effectively pounded both corners and challenged hitters with velocity up to 81 mph. He released from a clean 3/4 slot with developing spin profile in the arsenal, mixing a shorter SL up to 1939 rpm. Expect the off speed offerings to become more prominent in the future. Offensively, the righty started from an open stance with a lower hand set and hover trigger, producing contact to the middle of the field. He has additional room to shift the weight in the lower half and use the full potential of his body, posting an exit velo of 75 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
