Matiss Tyree is a 2027 RHP/IF with a 6-0 125 lb. frame from Kalamazoo, MI who attends Kalamazoo Christian High School. Slender, projectable build with loose limbs and lots to work with. Ran a 7.79 in the sixty. Right-handed pitcher, starts middle of rubber and glove sets just above the letters. High leg lift into high three-quarter delivery and shorter arm action through the back. Good intent to his arm, quick and projectable. Fastball has arm-side life, advanced feel and 11-5 shape to his curveball with tight spin and action. Firm changeup arm-side action can be a potential offering, mixed all three in for strikes. Enticing and chance to really develop. Also showed a good arm in his infield drills and worked well to the back hand. Controls length well. Right-handed hitter, high hand set and open stance. Developing bat speed and overall feel at the plate, gets into his front side well. Lots to work with on the mound as he develops. Named to Top Prospect list.
