Brian Bullard is a 2009 MIF/3B with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from West Nyack, NY who attends St.Joseph Regional HS. He has a medium frame and a young body that is starting to get stronger. Bullard ran the 60 in 7.29 and threw 77 mph during infield drills. He has smooth defensive actions in the middle infield, fields the ball out front and stays balanced. He showed nice range during the games and made the plays. His arm is short for shortstop at the next level right now but could improve. Bullard has some hitting tools as well. He hits from an open to closed approach with a wrap to start the bat, which creates some early length to his swing. He stays well balanced and creates some late bat speed with a high and extended finish. Bullard will need more strength to pull off the approach against better pitching but he gets the bat going and makes good contact. He's a good overall follow if he can keep improving his strength and quickness.
