Mason Childers is a 2028 3B/RHP/C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Taylorsville, NC who attends Alexander Central. Tall frame for age with chance to add some muscle down the line. Ran a 8.85 sixty yard dash. Primary infielder, two hand gather out front and comes through with a low slinger slot. Catcher reps, two step process with same slinger slot here, developing feel for the position and will increase strength in throwdowns with inclusion of lower half. Right handed hitter, segmented swing with a high back elbow and hands near the chest. Even base with a hanging trigger, gets rotational here and wore out opposite field during the round. Developing athlete that will benefit from some added strength as the body matures.
