Luis McElearney is a 2024 1B/RHP with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from New Bern, NC who attends The Epiphany School of Global Studies. Bigger body with plenty of strength potential. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall closed stance with a high hand load, rotational swing, tends to cast his hands out early and not drive through the ball, contact to all fields. 8.81 runner in the sixty who plays first base on defense. Also pitched, works from a full windup with a swinging leg lift out front, deep arm takeaway in back. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, also threw a soft slider and a change up and did a good job throwing strikes with all three pitches. Good student.
