2023 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Bryce Berkey is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Tall, thin frame to grow into down the road with long levers and a higher waist. Ran a 8.51 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle setup, segmented approach out of the crouch, developing feel for the transfer and process to slot, accurate throws around the bag for entirety of the round, gets the throws there with consistency, approach from behind the dish works well. Secondary right-handed pitcher, tall and athletic delivery, stays on line well and repeats it, filled up the zone at a solid clip, moved it to both sides well, gets some cutting action on the fastball at times, landed curveball low 60s with some feel and defined shape, projects on the mound some with room for improvements. Right-handed hitter, spread and square stance, high hands with high back elbow set, segmented move into separation, wraps the barrel some, worked all fields, no stride out to contact, path got a tad slashy at times, found the barrel more as the round progressed and got in a rhythm. Projects well given the current body and age with a nice base to improve off of down the road.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
