2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Frank is a tall and slender 6-4 right handed pitcher from Ohio. He has obvious projection for adding strength in the future. He threw 4 scoreless innings in Fort Myers and developed a very good rhythm after a while. Frank allowed 4 hits early but settled down and struck out the last 6 hitters. Frank has good arm speed when you watch him throw but the radar gun only said 75-78 mph. You have to believe that with his projection and arm speed that he’s going to throw much harder in the future. Frank has nice movement on his fastball and good command. He tends to slow his arm down on his off speed pitches, a mid 60’s curveball and 67 mph change up and this is an area he can improve on. As a very projectable 6-4 pitcher from a cold weather state, Frank is a nice pitcher to watch for significant improvement in the future. He is also a very good student.
