Mason McCormick is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 153 lb. frame from Eagle, CO who attends Eagle Valley. McCormick works from a lean plenty projectable build with additional room to fill out as a '27 prospect. Starting from the IF, he displayed clean backhands with developing footwork that has additional room to attack the baseball and carry momentum across the diamond. He flashed a clean fielding funnel up the middle with the ability to make plays to both sides, topping out at 72 mph. On the mound, the righty worked from the stretch starting from the 1B side of the rubber, utilizing an up tempo operation and clean 3/4 slot to touch 73 mph on the FB. He mixed both a CB and CH to keep hitters off balance, the former up to 1795 rpm. Offensively, McCormick was solid both in BP and in game, starting from an even base with a high compact hand set that generated some backspin to the middle of the field. He repeated the stroke well with developing power potential, posting an exit velo of 75 mph. Ran a 7.74 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
