Roman Daponde is a 2025 3B/RHP, 1B, 2B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Hidden Hills, CA who attends Chaminade College Preparatory. Physical medium size frame. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Corner infielder with developing footwork, squares to the baseball, static receiver with the glove, and showed solid average arm strength with developing accuracy across the diamond. Hit from a wide stance with toe tap timing. Combination of strength and bat speed in the wing with a lift and drive pull side approach. Some rhythm and sync to the swing, got on time and to the barrel to impact the baseball. Showed a three pitch mix on the mound out of a three-quarter slot. Drop and drive mechanics and has a consistent release point locating a fastball up to 80, a curve with feel for spin and some consistent shape, and a change up that gets turned over well and shows fading action. Potential as a two-way prospect. Excellent Student.
