Hudson Boyd is a 2011 RHP/ with a 6-2 235 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends South Ft Myers. Big strong build, body has started to firm up a bit. Very sound delivery, good rhythm and balance, high 3/4's to OH release point, repeats very well. 92-93 mph fastball, mostly straight, maintains velo very well from stretch, loves to come inside aggressively with FB, can move it in and out to both RHH and LHH'ers. Curveball solid second pitch, good tilt with right spin, shows depth, good usage. Didn't see change up, would make him a complete pitcher. Very, very good pitcher! Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
