Gunner Carpenter is a 2028 RHP/3B/OF with a 5-3 120 lb. frame from Boerne, TX who attends Comfort. Smaller young build. Rocker step to start his delivery, gets some rear leg drive down the mound, high compact arm action. Fastball worked in the upper 60's and topped out at 70 mph, mostly straight, had some idea of repeating his mechanics and throwing strikes. Threw a soft curveball as his breaking ball. 8.00 runner in the sixty. Played the outfield when not on the mound, had energy in his actions and worked through the ball well, longer arm action than on the mound with a high slot, made accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a simple and repeatable load, keep his swing compact and short, handled the barrel well, has a very good fundamental swing that just needs some size and strength to keep improving. Good athlete who will keep improving with physical maturity.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
