2023 Northeast Top Prospect Games @ Rutgers (Wed-Thur)
Grayson Rodgers is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Rodgers provided value from a range of defensive spots over the course of his event, starting on the mound as a primary LHP where he worked from the stretch. From the far 3B side of the rubber, he showcased a low effort and repeatable operation with a clean arm stroke and 3/4 release point. He generated evident running/sinking action on the FB up to 85 mph with good vertical depth present on a breaker as his primary off speed offering. There's still room here for velocity potential to develop further. From both the OF and at 1B, Rodgers flashed reliable glove work and generated arm speed through release to produce accurate throws on the bag. Offensively, the lefty started from a wider slightly open base with a high compact hand set and high back elbow. He created his best impact to the middle pull side of the field with strength in the hands, posting an exit velocity of 85 mph. Ran a 7.49 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
