Ashton Cortorreal is a 2028 OF/2B, SS with a 5-4 120 lb. frame from Methuen, MA who attends Methuen. Medium, high waisted frame with broad shoulders and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.79 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used deliberate footwork into the fielding process, fields off to the side and displayed a slightly elongated gather and transition to throw. Delivered accurate throws with developing arm strength up to 66 mph during drills. Secondary middle-infielder with similar deliberate footwork during the fielding process. Displayed a clean funnel out in-front, some lateral range to either side and produced accurate throws up to 64 mph during drills. Switch-hitter with sound bat-to-ball skills from both sides of the plate and plenty of things to project on moving forward. From the left-side, he stays connected well during the swing process and produces some natural lift due to his slightly lofted stroke. Displayed consistent contact from the right side, while staying compact with his hands to deliver the barrel on-time. Low-effort repeatable swing from both sides that will continue to improve with additional strength and proper adjustments.
