Carson Tomlin is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Auburn, GA who attends Georgia Connections Academy. Compact frame with some strength in the upper half. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, narrow base with a side saddle throwing stance, works under it well to gain ground, longer arm action through it but made accurate and online throws. Looked comfortable receiving in game with pocket awareness. Right handed hitter, open and wider base, high hands and back elbow set, heel lifted out front, flat swing path through the zone with an ability to impact the ball some, tendency to get handsy with it but flashed an ability to make consistent linedrive contact peppering opposite field, very basic and direct operation in general. Has a chance to stick behind the dish with shortening of the arm stroke, showed he can handle the barrel in the box to create extension and catch barrels.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
