Israel Cruz is a 2027 1B with a 5-0 120 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Parkview. Small, thin frame at present. Ran a 10.18 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, showed energy coming to the baseball, clean gather out front, transfer to uphill throws across the diamond with accuracy, solid turn to second as well, showed some feel for leather and idea to get the ball to the bag. Right-handed hitter, even and square base, low back elbow with high hands set, shifts to backside with a long stride out, collapses on backside some, issues maintaining the bat path through the zone, best contact to opposite field. Developing player who has an idea on the diamond but needs time to physically mature, as added strength and size will allow for the actions he possesses to be better showcased.
