Orion Ortiz is a 2027 RHP/ with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Mahopac, NY who attends Mahopac. Smaller, slender frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with quick tempo and compact movements throughout. Creates some deception with hunched upper half down the slope into foot strike. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 71 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in slower, big breaking 12-6 curveball with gradual action and showed the ability to kill spin on his changeup. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments, refinement of his secondary offerings and additional velocity. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Displayed deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, ranging better to his glove side and worked into a near side-arm release to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 69 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a crouched, narrow stance with a lower hand start and small stride into launch. Contact oriented stroke with inside-out swing path and length through the hitting zone. Displayed occasional line drive impact through the middle-of-the field, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
