Carter Goad is a 2027 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-3 115 lb. frame from Mechanicsville, VA who attends Mechanicsvile High School. Young athlete with medium frame and room to grow and add strength. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.69 seconds. Primary position IF, sitting back a bit but getting into good angles and presenting the glove nicely out front. Glove work is smooth and on point. Emerging arm strength with solid accuracy as it peaked at 70 mph across the field. Secondary RHP, working deliberately before getting explosive at foot strike. When on time showed a quick arm working through a high 3/4 arm angle. Energy at release with a FB up to 71 mph with emerging command. CB needs some time with vertical shape above the fastball plane. RHH starting narrow and hinged over the plate using a longer stride to get going. High handset with the barrel perfectly erect before working to the ball. Gets a bit uphill but does have good hand strength that produces loud contact when on plane. Intriguing two-way skill set.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
