Mateo Meenderink is a 2028 SS/MIF, OF with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Brentwood, CA who attends Heritage. Features a slender/lean build with plenty of room to add. Ran a 8.51 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed raw defensive actions. Avg. foot quickness for level where he fielded most balls clean. Sets body into decent posture but glove showed lateness at times. Uses a longer arm action with avg. strength for his level with throws being accurate across. At the plate, he sits with a narrow base with higher set hands. Uses a simple forward stride as hands load into a lower launch position. Barrel works on a slight uphill path with avg. bat speed and with consistent contact under the baseball. Used the whole field throughout his round but best impact was poolside when he got the bat head out front.
