James Matthew Crownover is a 2012 LHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Ringgold, GA who attends Ringgold HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength, physically mature. High energy delivery, some deception, compact arm action, repeats very well. Fastball to 91 mph, good run and sink when down, throws fastball precisely to spots with intent, better command arm side. Potential plus change up, very good arm speed, can throw at any count. Didn't throw breaking ball this outing, usually low 70's curveball with fair spin and plus location. Very advanced idea how to pitch, excels without plus raw tools. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Clemson. Named to the Perfect Game All American Classic team.
