Jemile Weeks is a 2005 middle infielder from Altamonte Springs, Florida, with a lean and athletic frame at 5'9", 160 lbs. Weeks plays the game with the easy glide and smoothness that the best athletes possess. He has great actions defensively with good hands, a quick arm, and great transfers. Weeks is a pro level defensive player. Weeks also shows hitting tools that are very advanced. He is a switch hitter with excellent skills from both sides of the plate. He has pro level bat speed with good balance and a line drive swing. Weeks has great hands at the plate, and makes solid contact consistently. It is getting old to say that Weeks has surprising power for his size, he consistently shows the ability to drive balls with present power that can play at the next level. He is a top level hitting prospect with a great all around game. He could surpass his brother at some point. Jemile is a very good student who has signed with Miami.
