John Stavola is a 2006 right handed pitcher/first baseman from East Berlin, Connecticut, with a strong 5'11"/180 pound frame. On the mound, John pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a balanced delivery. He keeps his fastball down in the zone at 79 mph. His slider has 11-5 break at 73 mph and he will get outs with it. He was hit by a line drive in his pitching hand but finished the inning strong showing his toughness and competitiveness. As a right handed hitter, he hits from an open stance with a short stride. He has slight lift in his swing with raw power. John showed strength in his swing and is a solid pull hitter. Stavola is a good student.
