Jonathan Colao is a 2006 from Miami, FL. Colao is a young left handed pitcher with good present strength. He throws from a full windup and a ¾’s release point with some slinging action in his arm stroke. Colao has some deception with all the moving parts and hitters didn’t appear to see the ball well against him. His fastball was between 76-79 mph with some tailing action. Colao’s best secondary pitch was a 66-70 mph change up. He also threw an upper 60’s curveball, but his arm stroke makes spinning that pitch difficult and he may look towards a slider in the future. He also showed ability with the bat and very good hands in the field. Jonathan is a good student.
