Baker is a 6-0, 170 lb senior right handed pitcher from Ohio. He throws from a standard 3/4's arm slot and has a good delivery that hides the ball very well from the hitter. Baker's fastball was 80-82 mph with very good running life and Baker showed the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate. He throws two types of breaking balls from different arm angles. His slider is 76 mph and is his best pitch. Baker's 72 mph curveball is pretty nasty, too. Baker pitches aggressively with his fastball and was ahead in the count to almost every hitter. If he used his breaking balls more often early in counts he could be even more effective because they are hard pitches to hit. Baker's a good follow who does a lot of things well to get hitters out and is just waiting to get stronger and add more velocity. He is also a good student.
