Carson Baranik is a 2011 RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Bossier City, LA who attends Parkway HS. Mature build, good present strength. Busy fast paced delivery, repeats well, fast arm coming through, 3/4's release point. Three quality pitches, 89-91 mph fastball, good running life, will cut FB with intent on occasion. Upper 70's curveball shows hard sharp break, big shape, potential plus pitch. Change up also potential plus offering, very good arm speed, nice fading life. Very good feel for pitching, should be immediately successful at the next level. Verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
