Kris Hearn is a 2007 infielder from Orange, Texas, with a low waist and very young features. Despite his size and youth, Hearn’s best present tools are with the bat. He has a good balanced approach at the plate, with a large knee lift trigger and a good line drive swing that generates some bat speed. If Hearn keeps the same approach he should have good success as he adds strength. Hearn has some one spot foot quickness, and his hands and feet work well on defense. His biggest overall need is to increase his foot speed and range in the field. Hearn also threw a couple of innings, showing a fastball that touched 77 mph, and a particularly good 69 mph sinking change up. We've seen him in WWBA tournaments since and he's shown plus, plus pitchability and been very successful with similar raw stuff.
