Kyle Cofield is a 6'5", 190 lb. right handed pitcher from Rainbow City, Alabama, and was one of the top prospects at the event. Kyle has a pro pitcher's body with long arms, a solid build, and plus potential on both his fastball (91 mph) and curveball (75 mph). He has very strong legs and outstanding arm speed. Cofield has a very short arm arch and good down and through finish on his delivery. Kyle has a short down and up path on his backside arm arch with a very good out front release. He uses a mid 3/4 arm slot which might take some life off his curveball. Cofield has "power pitcher" potential with his frame, legs and arm speed that should add up to mid 90s velocity down the road. At the plate he shows a wide base stance with a toe tap trigger. Kyle shows fair bat speed and a long approach to the ball. Cofield is a top Pro pitching prospect. Keep a close eye on him.
