Jayme (J R) Edwards is a 2010 RHP/IF with a 6'2'', 170 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Cardinal Newman. Lean athletic body. 3/4's release point, 2 piece arm action, good arm speed, on line mechanics. Mid 80's fastball, topped at 86 mph, late running life at times, nice sink/run on change up as well, CB shows sharpness, 11/5 shape. 3 good ptiches, attacks hitters, good command. Shows athletic ability on defense, good balance, can swing the bat a bit, good bat speed, short and quick to the ball, centers well. Good student.
