Max Homick is a 2011 1B/OF/LHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo HS. Tall well proportioned build, getting stronger quickly. Versatile athlete, two-way prospect. Very smooth at first base, plus footwork, soft hands, very good infield arm strength, can also play 3B throwing right handed, 7.36 runner. Late pull back load hitting, keeps hands tight and quick, short to ball, smooth easy swing, developing more bat speed, present gap power, good leverage at contact, should keep improving. Also pitched, simple leg raise delivery, low effort release, steady 86-88 mph fastball, good FB life, consistent run or cut, lacks present feel for either CB or change up. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego.
