Ian McKinney is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 5-11 183 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Boone HS. Slender athletic build, starting to add strength. Standard turn and throw delivery, mid to low 3/4's arm slot, arm works easily, hides ball well and has deception. Upper 80's fastball, touched 90 mph, will both run and cut fastball at different times. Sharp biting slider is best pitch, shows both quality and feel with the pitch, some developing feel for a change up. Mixes well and has an advanced ability to spot the ball, change speeds and miss bats. Will be successful immediately at the next level. Good student, verbal commitment to Central Florida.
