Arles Rivera is a 2005 right handed pitcher from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a 5'10", 165 lb. frame. Rivera has a lean body, but is strong, and he is very projectable. His arm works well, and he has a nice, easy delivery. He throws a heavy fastball that topped out at 83 mph with good life down in the zone. Rivera has a nice curveball with good depth from 68-69 mph. Rivera left his fastball up at times, but showed better command when he finished his pitches. Rivera looks like he is going to throw harder in the future, and should help a pitching staff at the next level.
