Powers is an interesting RHP with a lean and extremely projectable body. At 6'2 and a listed 155lbs, he threw up to 89 mph in Lincoln. He has a fast arm and throws with some effort, but it's easy to project more mphs in the future. This means Powers should end up with a plus MLB fastball. He also uses his quick arm to throw a nice tight 73 mph breaking ball. Again with strength gain, he should end up with an above average MLB breaking ball. In short Powers has a chance to be very good. He also plays in the field and shows some athletic ability, but his future is certainly on the mound. Michael is also a very good student.
