Nick Fuller is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Marietta, GA with a very muscular build at 6-1, 195 lbs. He throws from a quick paced delivery and a high 3/4's release point with a compact, clean arm stroke in back that doesn't give the hitter much of a chance to see the ball. Fuller's fastball tends to be pretty straight but it gets up there at 90-92 mph and jumps on hitters because of his delivery. Fuller's best pitch is his slider, although he didn't have his best stuff in Atlanta. He was 79-81 mph on his slider, while we've seen him up to 86-87 with this pitch in the past. When he's staying behind it Fuller's slider is a plus big league pitch with a sharp, deep bite and idea velocity. Hitters can know it's coming and still have no chance. Fuller also threw a couple of curveballs and change ups but these are developmental pitches for him at this point that could improve with more use. Pro scouts are going to like Fuller because he maintains his velocity and has a breaking ball that's a present out pitch that he throws for strikes. Fuller is also an outstanding student who has committed to South Carolina.
