2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Barry is a 2005 grad from Paraclete High School in the Palmdale California area. He is 6'1" 175 lbs with an lean frame and build and a strong lower half. He has room for added strength down the road. Barry moves well around the field and in different game and camp situations. He appears to be a very heady, aware player who coaches will appreciate. Defensively, Barry has good speed in the outfield and showed a strong, accurate arm with good balance and carry to his throws. At the plate, Barry has an aluminum bat type of approach that could benefit from more rhythm but he shows raw bat speed that will improve as he adds strength to his projectable frame. Barry is an excellent student who should attract the attention of some of the better academic schools.
