Treadaway is a physically strong and mature 6-3, 210 lb. right hander from Louisiana. He has a somewhat funky delivery that adds some deception to his pitches; he loads late in his wind up but has a hesitation built in to let his arm catch up. The net effect is good and doesn’t hurt Treadaway’s command or stuff in our opinion. And Treadaway’s stuff was plenty good for early January. He topped out at 89 mph on his fastball and was consistently 86-88 mph with some late life. Treadaway’s 70-72 mph curveball flashed good downer break as well. He showed a couple of 77 mph change ups in warm ups but didn’t use it much against hitters. Treadway has thrown 90 and good boring and sinking action. PJ is a good student and he can pitch at any college in the country.
